Brisbane finally got its first taste of H&M, with the Swedish fast fashion retailer opening at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre on March 5th.
I headed down in the early evening to check it out, and get my fix of retail therapy.
After a brief line-up to enter the store, I was handed a big shopping satchel and I was on my way! The store was teeming with ladies and gents ranging from teens to middle ages, I even spotted an adorable elderly couple perusing the clothing racks!
Everything was reasonably priced, but without the heavy compromise on quality that so often accompanies fast fashion. The racks were stocked appropriately, I easily found my size and there wasn’t excessive stock crammed into each space. Aesthetically the store resembled TopShop – clean and neat with plenty of light and room to move.
I grabbed a few pieces to sate my thirst for lovely new things, keep scrolling to check them out!
Of course I couldn’t leave without something pony related! 😛
The scarf is probably my favourite piece, it’s super huge and warm. So great to wrap around my shoulders, and to diversify my wardrobe by layering it with other garments.
I received prompt and friendly service by all staff I encountered. H&M is sure to be my new go-to for staples, fast fashion and workwear!
Stores are set to open soon at Westfield Garden City, and Brisbane CBD.
Last weekend I had the immense pleasure of visiting Ra Ra Superstar again to check out some delightful new gear!
I couldn’t help but smile as I walked down the cutesy pink pathway exploding with colour, lined with racks upon racks of clothing – this feels like home!
My first outfit started with a satin flowing crop top that made me feel like a fairy queen! We paired it with a sparkly squishy fishy necklace (it was love at first sight!) and a flirty tie die skirt.
Keep on scrolling and explore the back alleys of beautiful Paddington with me as I frolic about in adorable frocks 😛

Everyone on every form of social media channel is broadcasting their “hot or not” listicles for the 2015 Grammy Awards… I’m just here to show you my favourite ensembles from artists I love!
I’m not about negatives – so I’m just going to show you my ‘hot’ list! Prepare to have your socks rocked 😉
Jeremy Scott for Moschino… I’m still not sure how, but this collab works so well. Consistently awesome! Jeremy Scott is unparalleled in originality.
The Haim Sisters… say no more. You wish you were one of them, don’t you? I do. Nothing to be ashamed of!
Kelly O! She always hits the right notes. Back in the day, she might have had a more “aggressive” style per se. But now Kelly is a fashion queen and I also love the way she presents herself on-screen and on social media. Good human being.
Gaga! Crushing on this hair so bad.
Katy never fails to be super sultry and always sparkly! She is my diva dress guru.
This dress has copped a lot of hate… I am one hundred percent in love with it! Cascading layers of pink, and I LOVE when badgirlRiRi goes girly! Obsessed.
Rita Ora in Prada… no words needed.
The pièce de résistance, Taylor Swift in a magnifique mermaid dress! This will have ladies talking for years to come.
Comment below and let me know your favourite! Which dress would you dare to wear?
It feels like only a few days ago that the Black Milk Birthday Party antics were wrapping up for 2013… and yet here we are now just recuperating from the sheer insanity that is SharkieCon!!
The first SharkieCon to hit Australia, this was truly a weekend to be remembered!
I spent the weekend sunning myself by the pool at Aloha Waters with five beautiful women who really made the weekend extra special. Our holiday house was beautifully appointed and was on the canal at Broadbeach Waters. This was truly a restful and luxurious retreat, perfect for a girls weekend away!
We made the pilgrimage to Brisbane for the Birthday Party, this year held at the Queensland Museum; what a venue!
I had my makeup done by the wonderful Sarah Kay, she always looks after me for my creative make up needs! I stocked up on bindis and we got quite sparkle happy with my unicorn makeup look for the night 🙂
I wore my custom unicorn play dress, I call it the “Lexie Play Dress” – it was made for me as a goodbye gift when I left Black Milk a few months ago (and I adore it!). I also wore the Black Milk En Pointe Tulle Skirt which is such a gorgeous and flattering piece.
Sharks, whales and underwater creatures surrounded the partygoers in many rooms, an aerial gymnast curled and floated on her ring suspended from the roof, and beautifully costumed ethereal creatures on stilts walked amongst the sharkies who were dancing like there was no tomorrow!
All in all, a spectacular time, and I cannot wait to do it all again!!
I felt like I was camouflaging too much into my office, staring deep into the soul of the iMac screen. So I took a quick break to jump around outside, warm my numb air-conditioned toes and breathe in the busy city air.
